Something happened this year that many of us did not expect. Sorry… let me try that again. A few things happened this year that many of us did not expect. No? Okay. One more time.

My first weeks of quarantine were spent writing season one of my show, BAD. Now that I’ve finished, it is clear that I know everything there is to know about the masterful art of writing for television. In the spirit of Spring, growth, and the recent resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, I’ve decided to share this knowledge.

That was a joke and obviously I know nothing.

I’m quite good at protecting myself from negativity. The thing is: I’m sometimes so good at it that I fail to recognize the strongest coping mechanism of them all. It’s not sugar or alcohol or sleep, silly.

Happy 2020 everyone. May you live or die for your resolutions, face it: the new year is merely an excuse to start fresh. It’s also a good excuse.
